William Lewis

William "Willie" Lester Lewis of Millwood, passed away on Saturday, October 31st 2020 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Barren County, Kentucky on April 2nd 1942, to the late Lester Lewis and Ella Thompson. He was a general contractor and owner of Mid-West Builders. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling, and cooking for friends and family. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lee Cooper Lewis and his son, Shawn Paul Lewis of Millwood. Two brothers, Bobby and Curtis Tilford of Jefferson County. Along with several nieces, nephews, and friends. Other than his parents, he was proceeded in death by his sister, Brenda Riddle and stepfather, Jim Tilford. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 3rd 2020 at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Wilson Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. All those who wish to honor and remember Mr. Lewis in person at the visitation or service are required to wear a mask for the safety of all those in attendance.
