William T. Kendrick, Sr., age 79 of Jacksonville, Florida passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Jacksonville. He was born April 10, 1939 in Washington D.C. and resided in the Jacksonville area for the past 45 years. He retired from the US Navy after a 26 year career then went to work in Civil Service at NAS Jacksonville until his retirement in 1997. He also spent three years in the Army prior to enlisting in the Navy. He was stationed in Germany during the 1961 Berlin Crisis. Bill was a lifetime Boy Scout and scout leader and was actively involved in the program for over 50 years. Bill is survived by his wife Blanche Kendrick, his three sons, William Kendrick (wife, Barbara), Daniel Kendrick (wife, Renee), James Kendrick (wife, Dede), daughter Kathleen True (husband, James), stepchildren, Gregory Hunt, Christopher Hunt, Michael Hunt, Rhonda Dyer, grandchildren, David Kendrick, Danielle Kendrick, Chelsea Grier, Carolyn Kendrick, Andrea True Parker, Sara True and many great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel in Caneyville, Kentucky. Burial will be Wednesday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson Cemetery in Caneyville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Boy Scout Troop 304; 3419 Deerfield Pt.
