Vernon Embry

Vernon Embry, age 63 of Caneyville passed away Wednesday, June 26th 2019 at his residence. He was born August 17th 1955 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the son of Reathel & Carolyn Duke Embry. He was a member of the Zion Harmony Baptist Church and a self-employed construction worker. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Salmon Embry, with whom he was happily married to for 43 years, three children, Eva Justis (Joe), Raechel Brooks (Jason), & Christa Lush (Rick), four grandchildren, Seth & Aiden Brooks and Kylie & Ryder Lush, and five sisters, Joan Farris, Sue Fox, Cheryl Payton, Kim Lindsey, & Pam Keller. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, June 29th 2019 at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in the Bates Cemetery in Dog Creek. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Friday June 28th 2019 and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to help with the funeral expenses.
