Susan Moutardier

Susan Kaye Moutardier, age 52 of Millwood, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born in Leitchfield the daughter of Margaret Mae Tomes Higgs and the late William Russell Higgs, Sr. Susan is described as, being a good woman and loved by all. She was very loving and was always there to help everyone. She enjoyed gardening and making her own fertilizer, but her favorite things were spending time with her seven grandchildren and going to church at Spring Lick. Left to honor Susan's memory are, her children, Nick Moutardier, Emily Moutardier, Natasha Powell (Camren) and Keelia Moutardier (Nick Bess), her grandchildren, Chloe Powell, Joey Williams, Mason Powell, Preston Moutardier, Casen Powell, Emma Greer and Kenleigh Bess, her mother, Margaret Mae Higgs, and one brother, William Higgs, Jr. Susan was preceded in death by her father and her grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Caneyville Memorial Chapel in Caneyville with Bro. Daniel Mudd officiating. Burial will be in Caney Creek Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to help with the funeral expenses.
