Sarah Irene Albro, age 95 of Shrewsbury, Kentucky passed away Saturday, October 3rd 2020 at Bee Hive Assisted Living in Leitchfield. She was born September 3rd 1925 in Grayson County, Kentucky the daughter of Will and Luvena (Raymer) Albro. Irene was a member of Caneyville Church of Christ and retired from Lorilards in Louisville. She is survived by two nephews, Jim Albro (Kay) of Leitchfield and David Clements (Liz) of Shrewsbury, five nieces, Agnes Day (Delmer), Rosalie Whobrey(Harold), and Judy Clark(Charlie) all of Shrewsbury, Alta Woosley(K.O.) of Tousey, and Wanda Beatty(Mike) of Ready, and two special nieces-in-law, Sue Clements of Owensboro and Ora Clements of Shrewsbury. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Addie Francis Albro, Nellie Mae Albro, Alene Clements and Cuba Ice, one brother, Ralph Albro, three nephews, Sherman, Don, and Phillip Clements, and one niece-in-law, Linda Clements. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 8th 2020 at Caneyville Memorial Chapel in Caneyville with Bro. Jarrod Jacobs officiating. Burial will be in Shrewsbury Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. All those who wish to honor and remember Miss Albro in person at the funeral home are required to wear a mask while in the funeral home for the safety of all those in attendance.
