He was born in McLean County, July 30, 1928 to the late Arnold Everett Carter and Maggie Myrtle Rhoades Carter. He was retired from Carpenter Union and was a USARMY veteran. He was of the Christian Faith, VFW Post 696. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and being with family, especially his grandkids. He is preceded in death by his son, Roy Everett Carter Jr.; daughter, Becky Carter; brother, Richard Henry Carter Surviving is his wife, Patricia Knott Carter Children, Cindy Carter Stites and husband, Mark of Millington, Tennessee Grandchildren: Max and Marinda Brothers, J.D. Carter and wife Ruby of Gilbertsville, Ky. Arnold Carter Jr. and wife, Janice of Owensboro, Ky. Ernest Gene Carter of Princeton, Ky. Billy Carter and wife, Patsy of Owensboro, Ky. Sisters, Gladys Brooks of Owensboro, Ky. Ann Carter Haines and husband, John of Jacksonville, Florida Several Nieces and Nephews. Services will be at 4:00pm. Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home Visitation at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00pm. Saturday and from 1:00 to 4:00pm.
