Robert Mudd

Robert Dwight Mudd, age 73 of Caneyville, passed away Sunday, April 4th 2021 at the Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown. He was born February 2nd 1948 in Caneyville, KY, the son of Estel & Edna Higdon Mudd. He was a farmer and production worker for Gates Rubber Company. He is survived by his children, Jimmy Mudd (Betty), Katherine Gearding (Ray), & Bobby Childress (Anita); eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and three brothers, Charles, Gerald, & Russell "Tooter" Mudd. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Roberta Mudd; his sister, Winnie Jinnett; and two brothers, Winford "Toots" & Orville "Boo" Mudd. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, April 8th 2021 at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at the Wilson Cemetery in Caneyville. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. All those who wish to honor and remember Mr. Mudd at the visitation or funeral are required to wear a mask for the safety of all those in attendance.
