Mary Corley

Mary Jo Corley, age 85 of Horse Branch, passed away Thursday, December 9th 2021 at her residence. She was born January 31st 1936 in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of John William & Ora Myrtle Shain Embry. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted homemaker and a member of the Old Decker Free Union General Baptist Church. She is survived by her four children, Carl Corley, Billy Corley (Candy), Cory Shadburn, & Lisa Lacefield; eleven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Peggy Beasley; and one brother, Buddy Embry. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Corley; two brothers, Everett & Lee Embry; three sisters, Eva Elder, Edith Elder, & Betty Hayes; one granddaughter, Cassidy JoAnn Lacefield; and her son-in-law, Ricky Lacefield. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday (December 15th) at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. She will be laid to rest in the Craig Cemetery in Horse Branch. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Caneyville Memorial Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Corley.
