Marjorie Stevenson

Marjorie H. Stevenson, age 78 of Caneyville, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born October 4, 1940 in Grayson County, Kentucky the daughter of Hannibal and Nerva Webster Haynes. She was a sweet lady and loved by many. She loved and knew the Lord and loved singing Bluegrass Gospel Music and playing her guitar for over 30 years. She was a member of Pine Knob United Baptist Church since 1963 and attended Community House of Prayer. She is survived by her husband, Emmett Stevenson, her daughter, Anita Childress (Bobby), three sisters-in-law, Sudie May Patterson (Jim), Marilyn Haynes and Florene Haynes and several nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Hunt and two brothers, Allen and Hillary Haynes. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Caneyville Memorial Chapel in Caneyville. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
