Lois Higgs

Lois Ann Smith Higgs, age 53 of Leitchfield, passed away, Thursday, September 3rd 2020 at the Springview Health & Rehab Center. She was born October 19th 1966 in Bowling Green, KY the daughter of the late Oval & Jerlean Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Higgs, her parents, and one brother, Alfred. Remaining to honor her memory are her sons, Joey (Katie) Hatalla of Bremen, GA and David Higgs of Wedowee, AL; her step-son, Walter Higgs of Caneyville; her brothers, Roy (Karen) & Barnett (Beverly) Smith of Leitchfield, Charlie (Mary) Smith of Millwood, & David Smith of Morgantown; and her sisters, Carolyn (Bobby) Entrekin of Wedowee, AL & Reaunetta Hatcher of Bowling Green, KY. She was of the Baptist faith and employed in Domestic Services for Davis Cleaning. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday October 31st 2020 at the Free Union Independent General Baptist Church (7468 Love Lee Rd Morgantown, KY 42261). Burial will be in the Woodcock Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the Church.
