Lloyd Mullins, age 87 of Caneyville, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Grayson Nursing & Rehab in Leitchfield. He was born on April 29, 1935 in Amburgey, Kentucky the son of Carl and Sarah Fields Mullins. Mr. Mullins was a teacher at heart, he taught for 30 years, retiring from the Grayson County High School. He enjoyed his job as well as driving the bus and coaching sports, Mr. Mullins had a true love for children. Growing up in the mountains he was the son of a coal miner and was not a stranger to hard work as he worked 2 and 3 jobs all of his life, including his farm which he loved. In his free time, Lloyd could be found hunting, fishing, watching the U of K Wildcats and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to honor Lloyd's memory are his wife of 65 years, Naomi Sue Singleton Mullins; three children, Vicki Renee Mullins, Jeffrey Lloyd Mullins and Leonard Carl Mullins; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and four siblings, Wanda Smith, Joyce Slinker, Guy Mullins and Tommy Mullins. Aside from his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by one son, Brian Keith Mullins and four siblings. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Caneyville Memorial Chapel. Caneyville Memorial Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Mullins.
