Larry Thomas Embrey

Larry T. Embrey, age 77 of Big Clifty, passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at his residence. He was born on February 20, 1947, in Caneyville, the son of the late Owen Thomas and Gertie Wilburn Embrey.

Larry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield. He loved motorcycles and telling stories. Larry was a Vietnam Vet of the United States Air Force.

Left to honor Larry’s memory are his daughters, Sasha Young (Scott) and Melanie Lampton (Jason); and three grandchildren, Dawson and Dharma Young and Hannah Lampton.

Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Gabriele Lender Embrey and Janice Willison Embrey; and his siblings, Roscoe (Neva) Embrey, Paul (Ruth) Embrey, Herbert (Lois) Embrey, Aileen Phelps and Clarine Embrey; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Caneyville Funeral Home. Cremation was chosen.
