June Woosley

June Woosley, 83, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Grayson Nursing and Rehab. She was born on June 2, 1940, in Caneyville, KY, to the late Thomas Leslie Kelly and Ruby Swift Kelly Cooper. June was a loving and kind individual, known for her warm-hearted nature.

June is survived by her three sons: Jeff Woosley (Lisa) of Louisville, Dwayne Woosley of Clarkson, and David Woosley (Terri) of Leitchfield. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jameson Woosley, Sara Day (Bryan), and Hillary Burkhead (Dylan) all of Leitchfield; as well as three step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda Kelly and Brenda Kelly, both of Leitchfield. June was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her husband, Carmon Woosley.

In her career, June worked as a cook at Caneyville Elementary School, where she brought joy to the students through her meals.

She enjoyed sitting on her porch, spending time with her family, and attending church. These were her treasured hobbies. June was a member of Smalls Grove Church.

Visitation for June will be held at Caneyville Funeral Home on Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm, and on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The funeral service will take place at Caneyville Funeral Home on January 26, 2024, at 2:00pm.  Burial will be in Layman Memorial Gardens.
