Jeff Barton

Jeff Barton, 56, of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 at NortonaEUR(tm)s Hospital in Louisville. He was born on Tuesday, June 28th, 1960 in Grayson County, the son of JR and Fayetta (Hayse) Barton. Jeff was a 35 year member of the Short Creek Masonic Lodge #744 and received his 32nd Degree from the Scottish Rite. He also was a truck driver for MajoraEUR(tm)s Trucking for more than 17 years. Jeff is survived by his son, Adam Barton of Leitchfield; his daughter, Amanda Lambert (Jonathan) of Horse Branch; three grandchildren, Brycen, Brody and Brynlee Lambert all of Horse Branch; his parents, J.R. and Fayetta Barton of Caneyville; one brother, Bryan Barton (April) of Falls of Rough; one sister, Kim Cannon (Mike) of Falls of Rough; two nephews, Dustin and Austin Cannon of Falls of Rough and one niece, Avery Barton of Falls of Rough. Funeral services will be Monday, March 6th at 1:00 pm at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro Mike Cannon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Sunday after 2:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 am until time of service.
