Gerald Johnson

Gerald Wayne Johnson, age 81 of Denton, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 6th 2021 at his residence. He was born April 19th 1940 in Rosedale, Mississippi, the son of Otho James & Laura Eva Allday Johnson. He is survived by his children, Stanley Wayne Johnson (Donna), Eva Dowdy (Roy), Carl Michael Webb (Annette), Ronald Wayne Webb, & Paula Lynn Webb; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Rendy Kay Sellers (Ricky) & Mary Lois Ojeda; and many nieces & nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Johnson; one son, Alva Lee Webb; three brothers, Marion Roger Johnson, Otho Howie Johnson, & Jimmy Lee Johnson; and two sisters, Betty Jo Shaw & Peggy Sue Degeyter and his step-mother, Katherine Mary Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday (Oct 24th) at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest in the Yeaman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
