Elliott Payton

Elliott Ray "Eddie" Payton, 54, passed away on August 1, 2018 at his home in Leitchfield, KY with his family by his side. He was born on March 3, 1964 in Louisville, KY. He was a longtime resident of Grayson County. He was a self-employed carpenter who took great pride in his wood crafting abilities. He was predeceased by his father George Ray Payton. He is survived by his mother Vivian Edwards Pannbecker of Leitchfield, along with his sons Brandon and Joey Payton both of Hodgensville, KY, sisters Janet Anderson (Bill) of Murfreesboro, TN, Beverly Clubb (Mike) of Sweeden, KY, brother Steve Payton of Leitchfield, KY, and grandchildren Case and Creed Payton. Visitation will be held at Caneyville Memorial Chapel, 201 E. Maple St. PO Box 62 Caneyville, KY 42721 on Friday August 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. Officiating will be Brother Glenny Geary. Burial will follow at Payton Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
