Donald Brooks

Donald Brooks, age 76 of Caneyville, passed away Saturday night, April 9th 2022 at his residence. Donald was born November 13th 1945 in Caneyville to the late Gladys Lewis Brooks and Leander Jack Brooks. He loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting, gardening, and working on his public job with NRCS (Natural Resources Conservation Services). He loved helping farmers to better their farms. He was also very active in the Caneyville Community Club for approximately 40 years. Donald was a member of the Falls of Rough Baptist Church. Donald leaves behind is wife of 55 years, Fran, one daughter, Jennifer and son-in-law, Wayne, two granddaughters, Fallon, and Lauren, two grandsons, Josh and Caleb and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Emma Lois and three brothers, Buddy (Peggy), Raymond (Charlotte) and Ronald (Sandy). Also, three very special friends, Norman Parker, Jerry Dermitt and Jeremiah Parrigan "Frog". Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 14th 2022 at Caneyville Memorial Chapel in Caneyville with Bro. Roger Allen officiating. He will be laid to rest in New Hope Cemetery in Caneyville. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm on Wednesday and again from 9:00 am until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
