Donald Birch Woosley

Donald Birch Woosley, age 86 of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at his residence. He was born on February 1, 1938, in Spring Lick, Kentucky the son of the late Ovid and Dora (Sermon) Woosley.

Donald was a simple man who worked hard as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 50 years. In his free time he enjoyed showing horses, fishing and watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats.

Left to honor Donald’s memory are his wife of 48 years, Virginia (Mashburn) Woosley; two sons, Leon Woosley (Velvet) and David Woosley (Crystal); six grandchildren, Haley Miller (JB), Noel Kilby (Andrew), Cody Ikner, Blake Mudd, Alexis Woosley, and Zoey Lynn Woosley; five great-grandchildren; five siblings, Bennie Blakeman, Sharlett Huff, Reva Pharris, Mike Woosley and Rudy Woosley (Phyllis).

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Caneyville Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Williams officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
