Dewayne "Cap" Mcguffin Sr.

Dewayne “Cap” McGuffin Sr., age 73, of Morgantown, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2023, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born on April 11, 1950, to the late Gilbert “Gib” & Ollie Florence Helm McGuffin.

Dewayne was a retired foreman of the Utility Clearing Service after about 20 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars, gardening, and most of all he loved his bluegrass music.

He leaves to honor his memory his significant other, Kathy Lindsey of Morgantown; two sons, Marvin and John McGuffin both of Morgantown; a grandson, Cody McGuffin of Morgantown; six grandchildren; two brothers, Charles McGuffin of Stephensburg, KY, and Raymond McGuffin of Franklin, KY.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his two children, Dewayne McGuffin Jr. and Darlene McGuffin; and 11 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday (October 31, 2023) at Caneyville Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at the Smith Home Cemetery.
