Betty Wilson

July 18, 1942 — September 29, 2024

Betty L. Wilson, 82, of Caneyville passed away Sunday at her residence.


She was the daughter of the late Elza Embry and the late Lennie Brown Embry. She was the wife of the late Tom Wilson.


Betty was a Caneyville High School graduate. She was homemaker and in her later years enjoyed hand quilting, reading and knitting.


Betty is survived by her son, Darrell Wilson and daughter, Beverly Wilson and several nieces and nephews.


Aside from her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Wilson; three sisters, Rosa Embry, Jean Patterson and Freda Pharris; and four brothers, Elza Embry, Jr., Harold Embry, Gerald Embry and David Embry.


The family will receive friends 5:00 PM— 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, and 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Caneyville Funeral Home. Funeral service for Mrs. Wilson will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the funeral home with Bro. Andy Vance officiating. Burial will follow in the Kelly Cemetery.
