Barbara Stevens

Barbara Stevens, 81, was born on February 15, 1943, to the late William and Mable Shrout Marcom. She peacefully passed away on April 11, 2024, at the Hospice House in Bowling Green.

She was a devoted mother and a retired restaurant manager. She found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, creating endless memories filled with love and laughter. Barbara also loved watching her UK wildcat basketball team play.

Barbara will always be remembered by her daughter, Cathy Schagene (Donald); grandsons Matthew (Rach), Joseph, Christopher, Ethan (Jessie), and Garrett Schagene; great-grandchildren Jordan, Zander, Carmen, Raven Schagene, and Makenzie Spears; and a nephew and niece, David (Sondra) Marcom and Tammy Marcom.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Billy Marcom; her aunt and uncle, Helen and Russell Shrout; and a cousin, Bobby Shrout.

Cremation was chosen and there will be a gathering held at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens in Lexington at a later date.
