Carol Pruitt

Carol Ann Dickson Pruitt, age 86 of Caneyville, passed away Thursday, March 10th 2022 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was born November 29th 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Norman English Dickson & Maurice McLoney Dickson. She was a member of the Caneyville Christian Church. A graduate in 1953 of Atherton High School and Western Kentucky University in 1957, she would go on to teach chemistry & physics at Clinton High School in Clinton, Tennessee for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Murrell & Carol moved to Caneyville, Kentucky enjoying the country living that they both loved. She is survived by her husband, Murrell Eugene Pruitt; three sons, Royce Glen Pruitt (Tammy), Vernon Lynn Pruitt (Kim), & Dean Alan Pruitt (Lisa); five grandchildren, Jonathan Royce Pruitt (Sara), Jessica Pruitt Kleiner (Randy), Lauren Pruitt McCain (Mason), Elizabeth Pruitt, & Chad Gelhar; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday (March 13th 2022) at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Caneyville Memorial Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Pruitt.
